This peer refereed journal provides an understanding of the complexities in informing clientele. Fields from information systems, library science, journalism in all its forms to education all contribute to this science. These fields, which developed independently and have been researched in separate disciplines, are evolving to form a new transdiscipline, Informing Science.
Insights: the UKSG journal (2048-7754) aims to facilitate communication between the many stakeholders in the global knowledge community. Issues contain a mix of topical articles written by librarians, publishers, vendors and other industry experts, along with conference reviews, editorial comment and features on people in the global knowledge community. The journal is published three times a year, in electronic-only format, and is included as one of the benefits of UKSG membership. Articles in the journal do not necessarily represent the views or opinions of the journal, its editors or UKSG.
