Ovid Partners with the Royal Society of Chemistry to deliver premium ebooks

Ovid, in a new licensing agreement with the Royal Society of Chemistry, will be providing online access to 46 RSC ebooks on the OvidSP platform.

“The Royal Society of Chemistry is renowned for the quality of its publications,” said Andrew L. Popper, Vice President of Publishing & eProducts at Ovid. “This agreement continues our efforts at expanding our book offerings across all scientific disciplines. The inclusion of these titles from one of the leading global publishers in the chemical sciences strengthens Ovid’s offerings in biological chemistry, drug discovery, toxicology, food science, and energy and environmental science.”

Based in the UK, the Royal Society of Chemistry is the primary professional body for chemistry in Europe. The Society carries out research, publishes journals, books and databases, and hosts conferences, seminars, and workshops. Its publishing program is based in Cambridge, with offices in Philadelphia and Beijing.

All 46 books are the latest editions and have been published between 2006 and 2008. They will be available as annual subscriptions or as one-time purchases for perpetual access on Books@Ovid, OvidSP’s leading ebooks platform. All books were scheduled to be available on OvidSP by the end of October.
