Ovid announces addition of Kluwer's journals
New full text content in engineering, life sciences, general reference, and humanities coming in 2002
Ovid Technologies is making over 700
Kluwer journals available via
their powerful search software in early 2002. The Kluwer Collection
will provide direct bibliographic and PDF access to key titles in a
broad range of subject areas, including engineering (electronic,
physics and electrical), medicine, psychology and social sciences,
agriculture, animal sciences and fisheries, biotechnology, chemistry
and pharmaceuticals, geoscience, religion and philosophy and
linguistics. Both Ovid and SilverPlatter databases will link to the journals, which can be purchased on an individual title basis or in subject-specific packages.

"We are
delighted to further extend our full text coverage into areas
such as engineering, the physical and life sciences, and
social sciences and humanities," said Diane Koen,
Vice-President of Sales & Marketing, Ovid Technologies.
"Our customers will now benefit from our knowledge management
solution no matter what subject area they are interested
in."
"Adding these important journals to
Ovid's collection creates an additional outlet for these
titles next to our own Kluwer Online platform. This is in line
with our strategy to continuously develop ways and
opportunities to make our content and services available world
wide in an efficient and timely manner to the researcher,"
said Peter Hendriks , Vice President - Commercial Services for
Kluwer in Dordrecht.
