	School for Scanning: Creating, Managing and Preserving Digital Assets , convenes at Delray Beach, Florida, USA, 3-5 December.
	Online Information 2001 is again at Olympia, London, 4-6 December.
	The 4^th International Conference on Asian Digital Libraries has as its theme Dynamic Landscapes for Knowledge Creation, Dissemination and Management. The conference takes place at Bangalore, India, 10-12 December.

January 2002

	The Midwinter Meeting of the American Library Association ALA convenes January 18-23 in New Orleans, LA.
	The New Delhi World Book Fair happens 28 January to 4 February.

February 2002

The International Conference on Bioinformatics 2002, North - South Networking happens in Bangkok from 6-8 February.

VALA 2002 , the Victorian Association for Library Automation, Inc. meets at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, Australia, 6-8 February. The conference is called e-Volving Information Futures.

Music librarians gather in Las Vegas 16-21 February for the Music Library Association 71^st Annual Meeting .

The Taipei International Book Exhibition takes place 19-24 February

The Fifth International Publishers Association Copyright Conference has as its theme encouraging creativity through copyright protection. It takes place at Accra, Ghana, February 20 to 22.

March 2002

International Spring School on the Digital Library and E-publishing for Science and Technology , will be held at CERN, Switzerland from 3-8 March 2002.

e-Content: Divide or Rule is the topic of the EUSIDIC Spring Meeting at Universitie Marne-la-Vallee, Paris France, 11-12 March 2002.

Computers in Libraries 2002 happens at Washington Hilton & Towers, Washington, DC, March 13-15, 2002.

Internet Librarian International 2002 working with the London Book Fair, is at Olympia 2, London, 18-20 March.

20-22 March in Glasgow, Scotland, is IT&ILit 2002: 1st International Conference on IT & Information Literacy . It is jointly hosted by Glasgow Caledonian University, the University of Glasgow and the University of Strathclyde.

The Art Libraries Society of North America and the Visual Resources Association are holding their First Joint Conference in St Louis, Missouri, MO, USA, 20-26 March.

April 2002

The Second International Workshop on New Developments in Digital Libraries runs 2-3 April at Ciudad Real, Spain. Downloadable leaflets and masses of information are found at its website.

4-7 April, Washington DC, USA are the dates to remember for the Annual Meeting of the Association for Asian Studies/Council on East Asian Libraries (AAS/CEAL).

Libraries In The Digital Age (LIDA) 2002 convenes in Dubrovnik, Croatia, 23-26 May.

Beijing, China, is the host city for Digital Library Conference - IT Opportunities and Challenges 2002 , taking place 9-11 July. The working languages are Chinese and English.

14-16 July are the dates of the 35^th Annual Conference of Church and Synagogue Library Association at Norcross, Georgia, USA.

The next Joint Conference on Digital Libraries is at Portland, Oregon, 14-18 July. The conference is organised by ACM and IEEE.

August 2002

The International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres Annual Conference , takes place 4-9 August, University of California, Berkeley, USA, and includes a concert by the Kronos Quartet.

School Libraries for Knowledge Society is the title of the IASL Conference happening in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 5-9 August.

The Twenty-Fifth Annual International ACM SIGIR Conference on Research and Development in Information Retrieval, SIGIR 2002 , convenes in Tampere, Finland, 11-15 August.

The 5^th World Conference on Continuing Professional Education for the Library and Information Professions is an IFLA sponsored meeting taking place 14-16 August at Aberdeen, Scotland.

The IFLA General Conference is meeting in Glasgow, Scotland, from 18-24 August

September 2002

The EUSIDIC Annual Conference convenes at Caixa General de Depositos, Lisbon, Portugal, 22-25 September 2002. The theme of the meeting is Virtual Information Communities

November 2002

26-29 November are the dates for ICDM '02: The 2002 IEEE International Conference on Data Mining , sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society. It takes place in Maebashi City, Japan.
