VTLS Inc. Opens a New Subsidiary in Malaysia

As a result of the response to VTLS Inc. product offerings in South East Asia, the VTLS Board of Directors authorized the formation of a new VTLS Inc. subsidiary in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The new subsidiary, VLTS Technologies Sdn Bhd (VTSB), will offer sales, support and training with a staff that consists of librarians, administrators and systems analysts.
The official opening of the subsidiary this spring recognized the many important product installations VTLS Inc. has in Malaysia. "Our new office continues the VTLS tradition of providing world class software with local support in the international library automation marketplace," said Gina Phan, Managing Director of VTSB in Kuala Lumpur.

South East Asian University and other government libraries have been VTLS customers since the early 90's and continue to keep close ties with the company. Especially proud of its twenty-seven installations and agencies in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, VTLS Inc. is confident that much more can be done to bring state-of-the-art library automation solutions to the region.

The Kuala Lumpur office marks the sixth overseas business facility in addition to offices in Spain, Switzerland, India, Poland and Brazil. "We are delighted to add the Malaysian office to the list of business hubs from which we conduct and manage our worldwide business," said Vinod Chachra, President, VTLS Inc. "The company will continue to encourage enterprising business people worldwide to join in its success."
