SilverPlatter releases FIAF International FilmArchive

SilverPlatter has added another database to its important arts collection. FIAF International FilmArchive, from the International Federation of Film Archives, was released last month.
FIAF takes its place alongside other core SilverPlatter offerings in the visual, performing and literary arts, such as Bibliography of the History of Art, RILM Abstracts of Music Literature, MLA International Bibliography, FRANCIS - the Global Source for Humanities and Social Sciences, and Wilson Art databases.

"FIAF International FilmArchive is a tremendous asset to the SilverPlatter Arts Collection, "says Bonnie Alpert, Sr. Product Manager at SilverPlatter. "As an unparalleled resource for film scholars and researchers, this database complements perfectly our other arts databases, all recognised as the premier scholarly resources in their given fields."

FIAF FilmArchive consists of four databases

The International Federation of Film Archives, an organisation of the world's leading institutions in the field of moving picture heritage, is dedicated to the rescue, collection, preservation and screening of moving images, which are valued as both works of art and culture and as historical documents. As its database project, FIAF International FilmArchive is a complete source of international film scholarship from 1972 onward, consisting of four databases: International Index to Film/TV Periodicals, Treasures From the Film Archives, Bibliography of FIAF Member Publications, and International Directory of Film/TV Documentation Collections.

Along with SilverPlatter's other newest arts databases, RILM Abstracts of Music Literature and Bibliography of the History of Art, FIAF International FilmArchive features special introductory pricing through June 30, 2001.
