The programme recognises the need for libraries to stay abreast of
new service trends and information technology developments as
well as to develop the ability to adapt to changes
quickly and to innovate. This fast changing environment requires libraries to
ensure that their staff are continually learning new skills, new thinking, and applying
new approaches.

The goal of the programme
is to enhance the participants' theoretical framework of library and
information management issues, enrich their practical skills related
to library and information services, and expand their knowledge base
